Previous Episode: Storm Shelters
Next Episode: One Nation Under God

This Sunday, June 24, we will continue our sermon series, “The Storm Before the Calm” based on Talbot Davis’ book by the same name.

This week’s message, “The Perfect Storm,” is based on Paul’s journey to Rome, which was marked by a terrible and long storm in Acts 17:13–44. We will see that today’s peace comes from tomorrow’s promise. There are times when storms in our lives last a relentlessly long time. Rather than letting ourselves get shipwrecked we have to consider what might need to go overboard in order to get through the storm. The longer the storm the lighter you travel.

Pray for those whose storms have lasted for so long. Pray for those who need to know not only that God is with them through the storm, but who also need to discern ways they can lighten their load as they deal with the storm. Pray that we will all know God as our shelter in the storms that come our way.
