. Ephesians 2:10, For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Who I Am in Christ – In Christ, you are God’s handiwork. Some translations say masterpiece. You are a work of art, my friend! Why is this important? Because before we knew Jesus, we were marred by sin. We were broken, unhealthy, and lost. But when we said yes to Jesus, the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of the Living God) came and made a home within us and began to transform us from the inside out. We are still broken vessels but Jesus is beginning to put us together again. He is making us into new creations. The old life is gone and the new is here (2 Cor. 5:17). This new creation into which God is forming us is beautiful, good, and worthy of love. This isn’t something we have done, it is God within us (although we certainly have to cooperate with God, creating space and structure for the Holy Spirit to do his work.) And God is transforming us for a purpose. In Christ, you have a purpose! What is it? To glorify God and do good works for his Kingdom. There is no higher purpose under heaven. Let’s pray…Lord Jesus, Thank you for transforming me! Help me continue to be clay in your hands. Mold me and make me into your beautiful masterpiece! Amen.

Our staff and leadership employ what's called the “S.O.A.P. Method”. It stands for Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer. Each day, we read one or two chapters of Scripture and focus on one particular verse. We make some observations about how that verse touches us, discern how it applies to our lives, and offer a prayer related to what we have read. - Rev.
