Last week we look at how the Fig leaves are a rejecting of the image of God they are created in. But there is a flip side to those Fig leaves. Not only do they reject the image they are created in, they also recreate a new image. This is a fulfillment of the lie that the serpent fed them when he said, “Eve the day you eat of that fruit you will be like god.” And that is exactly what we find them doing. Playing god and creating a new image for themselves.
