ROUND 2 RECAP

Two MAJOR upsets in this round, and the stage is set for a Sweet Sixteen of epic proportions! Magneto vs Thanos! X-Men vs Batman! John McClane vs Ripley! How do you choose?!

The Villains division saw almost all the favorites advance - except for #2 seed Darkseid, who was upset BY 2 VOTES to whiny, cackling Cinderella story Skeletor! Producer Bill is crushed. Meanwhile, Magneto and Darth Vader breezed by their competition, finishing with 70% and 74% of the vote respectively.

Rogues & Anti-Heroes saw Deadpool win by a surprisingly low margin at 62% - Mad Max ALMOST pulled out two consecutive victories over edgelord favorites! But alas. On the other hand, the X-Men trounced poor Donald Duck. Their 79% of the vote ties for the highest Round 2 margin of victory.

Powerless Icons features the OTHER 79 percenter - none other than Chief Brody from Jaws, wiping the floor with Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Bobby Goren. Sherlock Holmes made a strong showing with 71% over Laurie Strode, while John McClane continued his melee up the charts, beating #3 seed Ethan Hunt with 56% of your vote.

Raw Power saw our other MAJOR upset, as Thor DESTROYS #1 seed Tony Stark, earning 64% of your votes! After shellacking Savage Dragon in Round 1 and now displacing the biggest hero of the MCU, is the God of Thunder destined to win it all?! Meanwhile, the Flash barely outran the Silver Surfer - his 57% victory was the third-closest of the round.
