To do anything well, you have to start with a strong foundation. We explore the NCAA NIL origin story and how that got us to where we are today. As of July 1st, college athletes can now profit from their name, image, and likeness for the first time - how will this impact the world of college sports?

In this episode, we talk about the history of the NCAA and the impact it has had on college sports. We discuss the influences that led the NCAA to roll back its amateurism rules.

We talk about what is next for consumers, like the partnership of EA Sports and the Collegiate Licensing Company to incorporate college players back into the famous EA Sports College Football video game.

We discuss new NIL opportunities for student athletes, including contracts between Auburn quarterback Bo Nix and Milo’s, Arkansas wide receiver Trey Knox and PetSmart, and the female athletes from Florida Atlantic University and the Florida Panthers.

As always, we continue to disagree on the debate between Auburn and Alabama athletics.
