During this episode, we speak with three of the creators of The Players’ Lounge, a digital space for college fanbases. The concept was created by former University of Georgia football players Ty Frix, Keith Marshall, Aaron Murray, and Trent Frix.

The Players’ Lounge engages with fans using Discord - connecting fans with current and former athletes and creating unique fan experiences. Ty, Keith, and Aaron discuss the January 9th launch of their NFT collection, DGD Mafia. 50% of the profits earned from the NFT sales will be paid to partnering Georgia football players.

Purchasing a DGD Mafia NFT grants fans access to exclusive message boards, monthly podcasts, weekly film reviews by former players, tailgates, and more. The founders break down and simplify NFT creation and use. We also learn about Seth McWhorter’s NFT creation process.

Ty, Keith, and Aaron reflect on their experiences as student-athletes and discuss the opportunities that new NIL standards provide.

Chrissy and Wheeler discuss their favorite nillies, in light of the upcoming National Championship - pitting the University of Alabama against the University of Georgia. We discuss Rachel Baumann’s partnership with the Atlanta Braves and the University of Alabama gymnastics team’s partnership with CrowdPush.

Chrissy and Wheeler also discuss the upcoming NCAA Convention.
