For the 17th reading from this book for the Trotsdale Library enjoyment and discussion is the old tale of Why Rabbits Live in Burrows as collected by Louise and Yuan Hsi Kuo.

I forgot to mention this when recording but as a gun is implied in this tale I think it to be a more modern version. I can't imagine bows going bang instead of twang. However it should also be remembered that the Chinese had gunpowder first. It would be interesting to try finding an older version to compare with.
