I grew up the son of a family doctor, so taking care of others' health has always been an inherent part of my life.  I graduated at the top of my medical school class and spent the first 14 years being a doctor in a community health center.   From there I learned and practiced compassion and cost-effective medicine.

After 16 years of family practice, I wanted to find a more effective way of helping my patients. Because of my thirst for knowledge and hunger for how food could heal (food is medicine in functional medicine), I studied functional medicine.

Unfortunately after gaining that new expertise, I developed food poisoning, giving me multiple food problems including fermented food allergy and several food intolerances (gluten, dairy, egg). I could not eat food with soy sauce without having a coughing fit!

Fortunately, in the last 10 years through integrative medicine, I have studied different fields of medicine including genetics, biochemistry, physiology, nutrient supplementation for mental health, acupuncture, homeopathy, and energy medicine to help others and myself. Patients who have been sick for decades with different kinds of illnesses are regaining their health. As for me, most of my food issues are gone at this time as a result of treatments I have developed.
