This week Alison discusses how as mothers we birth our new identity which is something largely disregarded in our culture. Mothers can be left to navigate this path on their own leaving them feeling disorientated and ungrounded.

This episode asks you to look at the WHOLE you including your desires, passions and dreams, and how well you know yourself and respect yourself. This journey of discovery is so important to explore as you can’t give to your kids what you don’t give to yourself.

Alison talks about the caterpillar metaphor to describe your changing self through giving birth to your new self. It is a messy yet beautiful journey of transformation.

Alison is really passionate about this topic and invites you to remember yourself. Often we don’t really know ourselves. Motherhood shows us a mirror to ourselves like nothing else. But spending time really getting to know ourselves requires spaces, stillness and energy which is why our sisterhood is so important in this journey of motherhood.
