Previous Episode: Comfort & Peace | Psalm 23
Next Episode: Ephesians 4:1-3

As we come to a close in our series on Faith and Emotions through the guide of the Psalms, we take a slight turn in our study.
In previous weeks, we’ve examined individual Psalms by looking at the different emotions expressed by the Psalmist in their ever-changing circumstances, seeing how they expressed and journeyed through them in a way that honors and glorifies God.
In unpacking Psalm 116, however, we look at the emotion of God, the Maker, expressed to the Psalmist, His creation. In it, we find that when the Psalmist calls out to the Lord in distress and anguish, the deeply felt response of God is Compassion—a kind that leads Him to action.
