Plans to replace the Massey Tunnel with a 10-lane bridge may be dead in the water. A report that went to Richmond City Council details a meeting with NDP Transportation Minister Claire Trevena, who said any future crossing options would NOT include the bridge. Richmond had been strongly opposed to the bridge, while Delta has argued it is urgently needed to reduce one of the worst bottlenecks in B-C. The bridge was a project put forward by former Liberal Premier Christy Clark.
