31-year-old Allen Lewis

Allen Lewis was being transferred from prisons when he escaped on Tuesday.

He had just wrapped up a sentence at a Kentucky prison and was being transferred to Morgan County Detention Center

He complained his handcuffs hurt and when the transport officer tried to help him he put up a fight then ran away

He tried to hitchhike on Highway 64 and was relieved when someone stopped to give him a life.

However, the person who stopped to pick him up was a COP!

The cop was a Morehead State University campus police officer

He noticed the handcuffs dangling from Lewis' wrists and took him back to jail

Lewis now faces an escape charge
