Loser

Anonymous student in France

This goes back to January 18th - a 23-year-old student was expecting a visit from his parents at his home in Rennes (REN). But that student was not happy, and didn’t want his parents to show up.

His parents were due to travel by plane from the city of Lyon (LEE-on). They were happily sitting on the plane, and in the middle of their flight, when the plane had to be diverted and flown back to Lyon.

Why? Because the student decided to sabotage their trip by phoning in a fake bomb threat so they couldn’t make the journey.

The student will appear in court on May 21st. He could be fined up to 75 thousand euro - that’s around 110 thousand dollars Canadian.

DOUBLE loser

19-year-old thief, named Adel, in France

Adel walked into a grocery store and picked up a PlayStation 4.

He brought the PS4 over to the fruit aisle. He put the console onto one of the weighing scales, so that he could print off a new barcode, for about nine euro worth of fruit.

He then brought the console to the self-service aisle, where he was able to scan the console and walk straight out of the store.

He sold the nine-euro console for a hundred euro - that’s about 150 dollars Canadian - and he bought himself a train ticket.

Shortly afterwards, he went back to the same grocery store, and tried to do the same trick again.

But the police were there and arrested him. He didn’t show up for his day in court, and received a four-month prison sentence.
