The RCMP says it will enforce an injunction today against protesters in a remote area between Smithers and Houston, who are blocking construction of the Coastal GasLink LNG pipeline. Police say those in the area can expect to see an increase in officers, road closures and traffic disruptions.
During enforcement, public and media will be allowed to stand outside marked parameters of NO-GO zones. Those NO-GO zones will remain in place as needed. The statement says - the RCMP hopes to move in without violence.
