North Vancouver man apprehends thief rifling through his vehicle

A resident of the Deep Cove area in North Vancouver was outside his residence at approximately 5:30 am on December 19, 2018 when he observed an unknown male person inside his car. The homeowner physically restrained the 25 year-old man until police arrived. Ultimately the man was arrested on charges of theft from auto. The person arrested, who is well known to police, is believed to be involved in similar thefts from vehicles and other offences in North Vancouver. The person of interest, of no fixed address, will appear in court later today.
