On this day 88 years ago, Vancouver Airport was officially opened! The airport could hold 12 large planes or 30 small aircraft with wings folded. Today, YVR is home to 56 airlines, connecting people and businesses to more than 125 non-stop destinations worldwide.

Craig Richmond is the President and CEO of the Vancouver Airport Authority, and he joins us in studio today to discuss  upcoming airport expansion plans,  the airports role as a significant economic generator in the province, and the recent quest to convince Ryan Reynolds to become the new spokesperson for the airport.
