Sylvia Harris: For Your Glory: New Music and interview.

Sylvia Harris is a gospel recording artist, producer, and songwriter who is best known for her command of the stage and her ability to capture any audience as she sings under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Her career began with local performances in her hometown of Houston, TX and she has since branched out to cities all over the country becoming highly sought after as more and more fellow artists and fans experience the power of God through her ministry. She has been recognized by Earnest Pugh, Greg O’Quinn, and she currently performs with Grammy Award Winning composer and performer, Kurt Karr at The Fountain of Praise Church on the first Sunday of every month.
Sylvia’s talent was discovered at the tender age of four. She was born into a musical family and consistently encouraged to use her voice, initially for youth Sundays and sunshine band, and eventually in various groups and choirs throughout the Church of God In Christ (COGIC). Her earliest memory of performing was singing “Rough Side of the Mountain” as her grandmother, the church musician, played the piano. She has since honed her skills and developed a unique style and sound all her own through inspiration from the Holy Spirit and the infusion of her many musical influences which include the likes of The Winans, Whitney Houston, The Clark Sisters, Aretha Franklin, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Commissioned, New Edition, and Tina Turner to name a few.
Throughout the course of her career, she has been featured on various choir projects as well as released her own music. Following her first concert in April 2015, she released her first single, “Saints in Praise (For Your Glory Lord)” in May of 2015. In July of 2018, Sylvia released her second single entitled “No Ground”, in July of 2018. Since her humble beginning, Sylvia has also expanded the reach of her ministry to include churches and houses of worship of various denominations and cultural backgrounds, also appearing on various platforms outside the church walls including Juanita Bynum (At 3 with Me), Fox 26 News Morning Show, and Bush IAH United Airlines Black History Diversity Programs, and many others.
Sylvia is an energetic and anointed artist whose mission is to share the love of Jesus with the world, and extend the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with Jesus Christ to every person she encounters.
