On April 21-22, 2018 we had the honor of taking part in a physically challenging way to help fundraise at the Team Stone 24-Hour Challenge. Participants completed as many laps as possible on a rugged 2.5 mile course in the foothills of Eagle, Idaho. In total, civilians, currently serving military, and former military members logged just under 1,000 miles with proceeds going to the TACP Association, a non-profit dedicated to supporting the families of the fallen or those in need. TACP (Tactical Air Control Party) are members of the Air Force who embed with Army and Marine Corps units and help direct air strikes on enemy targets. This segment of the military, like many others, has been impacted with men and women losing their lives or being wounded in combat.

“Having Mission43 involved in the 24-Hour Challenge was instrumental in helping us meet one of our main objectives; bridging the gap between military and civilian life.”  - Justin Clark, Co-Director

Why The 24-Hour ChallengeExploring Idaho

The scenery was tough to beat with the Challenge taking place on the Ultra Shooting Solutions Range tucked into the foothills of Eagle, Idaho. The terrain made sure you didn’t get too much of a break!

Camaraderie

It’s tough to find, but this event created that sense of team you had in the military. Even more important, families with children of all ages were able to spend the day together in this incredible atmosphere. The Boise PD Swat team and the 124th ASOS had their vehicles and equipment on hand, there was live music provided by American Hitmen (featured on America’s Got Talent), and there was plenty to eat and drink.

Veteran-Owned Businesses

We are always inspired by the hard work, risk, and success we see with entrepreneurship. This was on display with some of our favorite Idaho veteran-owned businesses on hand including Café Mulé, Powderhaus Brewing, Nutrishop Boise & Meridian, Ultra Shooting Solutions, and 1890 Productions.

Thanks to Team Stone (check them out here on Instagram) and the TACP Association for this opportunity. Check out our highlight video from the day!
