On this episode, Zach and Matt talk with Tessia De Mattos, a DPT student at Columbia University who is trying to start a strength and conditioning elective within her program. We discuss hurdles she's faced in this process and Matt shares similar struggles he faced when attempting the same task. 

Bio:
Tessia De Mattos is a DPT student at Columbia University. She competes nationally in powerlifting, enjoys snowboarding and recently obtained her CSCS. At Columbia, she is a Student Course Director for the Perspective on Practice student run elective in which she helps bring in different speakers to Columbia University. These speakers cover topics from residency and cash-based PT to strength and conditioning principles in rehabilitation. She has also participated in the Level Up Initiative. 

She is passionate about PT and hopes to be part of the movement for a better future in the profession.
