Moving well does not start and stop in the gym, I say this often because many forget this.

 

I've become OBSESSED with driving this point home, because not only will awareness of your positioning help connect you with your body, but it will help you figure out where you're holding all of that tension.

 

Sitting puts an extraordinary amount of stress on our body and keeps us in a "state" of constant "fight or flight" we need to find ways to combat this and movement awareness goes a long way.

 

This is something you should be mindful all day, everyday. Whether you're in the gym or not.
