And yet... how it has changed the lives of countless people throughout the ages. Our God is indeed a strange God. And beautiful. The best gift of Christmas is the God in this story.

Is there joy in Christianity? I know we look to things and situations to bring us happiness..but when the newness has worn off and we find out that the next big "thing" didn't bring us what we had hoped, what do we do? Most of the time we run to the next fix or the next "high," or the next "thing." But Jesus says that in Him--in HIM--there is peace, and purpose, and abundant life.
