When you look at the world around us, it’s easy to think that life isn’t fair. Some suffer though they seem to have no reason or explanation for it. Others have to deal with the consequences of the actions or decisions of others. Still others do not receive the justice they deserve. We cry out to the Lord that life isn’t fair. Yet the Lord does not give us what we deserve. If he did, we would be separated from him for all eternity. Instead, he does the most unjust thing possible. He forgives us of our sins. He treats us as if we never sinned. He loves us so much, that he punishes Jesus for our sins. Because Christ’s love isn’t fair, we reflect that love by treating everyone in our lives with forgiveness, patience, and grace.
