Would you consider yourself a patient person? Patience does not necessarily come easily to many of us. In fact, impatience seems to be a hallmark of the world around us. We get impatient with how fast our internet is running. We get impatient with the person in front of us at the store or on the highway. We get impatient with people who fail to do what we want when we want it. If we are so impatient, should God be impatient with us too? He has every right to be impatient. We disobey him and fail him constantly. We disregard his will. Yet the Lord in love shows us tremendous patience—totally undeserved. He does more than put up with us. He seeks what is best for us until our time of grace comes to an end. Lord, help us to be patient!
