The Lord changed Zach Garza’s life through mentoring, when he was a kid heading down a dark path with no one to guide him.

As the founder and Executive Director of Forerunner Mentoring Program in Dallas, Texas, Zach equips and encourages mentors to build relationships with kids who were just like him.

Using his experience as a teacher and coach in a low income school in his community, Zach built an organization that transforms the lives of kids through the power of positive mentoring relationships founded on Jesus Christ and by supporting the modern-day orphan and widow. He believes relationships change lives, and that every person has tremendous value to offer this world. You can hear his passion by tuning into the You Can Mentor podcast, which he created.

Zach believes that God is all about family and that he is redeeming his generational line to create a generational blessing to be passed down to his wife Sara as well as his children Zachary Jr, Stephen, and Joanna. In his spare time, you can find Zach listening to good music with a book in his hand, discussing the intricacies of what makes a solid basketball player, or eating mass quantities of tacos.
