In episode 5 we talk about “Imposter Syndrome”, what exactly this means, how it shows up in our daily lives in so many different ways and most importantly, how it affects our mental health.

We cover:
► What Imposter Syndrome is and how it can show up in our work lives, home lives, and other areas such as self-confidence and allowing ourselves to pursue our goals.
► To keep in mind that growth can be challenging and this is when we may feel Imposter Syndrome creeping in, and that this is something everyone feels at one point or another. Like other mental health challenges, we can only learn and practice how to navigate it!
► How society and our environments can perpetuate this cycle of self-doubt, especially for women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities.
► Stating before you’re ready, stepping into your power and recognizing we may be experiencing Imposter Syndrome because we are upleveling!
► How to use certain thought changing techniques to start thinking differently about yourself and/or when you notice Imposter Syndrome taking over so as to continue to grow and achieve your goals.

As we have also done in past episodes, we mention a technique found in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) called “Act As If”, which is part of Emotion Regulation.
