Weight loss can be difficult for many reasons, but one of the biggest is that most people don't understand the difference between weight loss and fat loss.

 

In weight loss, you lose pounds, but not necessarily fat. Since muscle weighs about the same as fat, you might have gained some fat if you lost weight and put on muscle (and vice versa).In weight loss, you lose pounds, but not necessarily fat. In terms of fat loss, you lose your body fat - the stuff that makes up the belly, butt, thighs, and arms. You won't be able to lose this fat by targeting the area, but you will need a combination of diet (think whole foods) and exercise. 

 

Fat loss is hard.

 

It's so hard, in fact, that most people quit before they even get started. But it's really not as difficult as it seems—all you need to do is change the way you think about it!
