Today on Meditating the Word, Aaron's staff becomes a snake; Pharoah hardens his heart and the plagues of Egypt begin with water turning to blood, frogs, gnats, flies, livestock, boils, and deadly hail.

This is Day 32. Today we are reading Exodus Chapters 7-9.

Father God, There is no other God but you. Help us to not harden our hearts, Father. Help us to listen to and obey every word you speak to us. Sometimes it's easy to look at extreme circumstances, like the plagues of Egypt and wonder how Pharoah could have over and over again hardened his heart. But if we take a close look at our own lives, we see that we, also, stubbornly hold onto things that you have asked us to lay down. Help us to be obedient, Father, and to put your word above everything else in our lives. Amen
