Regardless of where we live in the world, what we believe in and what work we do, there is one thing every human being has in common: the need to eat.  Most people have to buy food, making choices about what to put into our, and our family's, bodies.  It's an ongoing routine that goes on automatic most of the time, I expect.

And perhaps now, with a pandemic-induced health awareness, we think about those choices more.  More veg/fruit/lean meat, less sugar and fat etc.  But how about taking that a step further, or should I say, earlier?  Shouldn't we also take an interest in where that food comes from, and how it is produced?

Meet Karen Seyersted, an Integrated Health Practitioner, Organic Farming Advocate and Co-founder of Whole Health Agriculture, who is doing just that.  Her work is focusing on helping farmers discover and adopt practices that can end reliance on synthetic chemicals, antibiotics and intensive interventions.  Homeopathy and traditional methods do no harm to the environment, and turn out to be cheaper than conventional approaches.  Healthier farms means healthier products which means healthier consumers - it's a winning strategy!

But what more can consumers actively do to help?  Listen to Karen explain why farmers want to be part of the solution and how we can all play our part in supporting sustainable food production.
