Welcome to another episode of Marvins World, this is a podcast where Marvin meets wonderful and interesting people with a unique viewpoint. The point of the podcast is to provide an entertaining show that provides insightful and invigorating discussions, which aim to provide a unique angle on topics many of us would never think of.

In this podcast we chat to Joshua Knowles and Jaclyn Ziemniak, who are professional full contact jousters, jousting is a lot more than you think, it is effectively ufc on horseback.

Hailing from South Carolina, USA, Joshua Knowles spent 8 years working for Medieval Times as a theatrical jouster, actor and stuntman. He spent his time there training horses, people and being an overall badass. Joshua got his introduction to full contact jousting in 2012 while competing on History Channel’s Full Metal Jousting, where he overcame numerous obstacles to take home the championship.

Whether riding a dressage test, jumping a course or jousting with the boys, Jaclyn Ziemniak lives for her horses. Born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Jaclyn is always up for a challenge, so when the opportunity to train with the Knights of Valour came up, she jumped at the chance. As the only female full contact jouster actively competing in Canada, she strives to be a role model for women everywhere. The road to knighthood has been a difficult one, laced with unique challenges for this petite rider, but she has never given up. Bruised and battered but never defeated, Jaclyn has proven herself to be a heavy hitter in the list, taking home tournament wins and unhorseing men twice her size.
