Marketing Hell

8 episodes - English - Latest episode: about 3 years ago -

A marketer stands in the smouldering ruin of their most excruciating failure, certain that their career will never recover. A small, but insistent voice makes itself heard... "You should go on a podcast and talk about this."

Made by marketers for marketers, Marketing Hell uses interviews and discussions with marketing leaders to explore our most spectacular foul ups. We take pleasure in our failures and pick through the rubble to extract one or two lessons that might rescue a sense of professional pride and ensure that listeners make entirely different mistakes in their own campaigns. It could be an abysmal rebrand, a PR disaster or a campaign that funnelled marketing funds directly down the drain. We uncover personal, ego-free perspectives on how a marketing campaign was planned and how it ultimately fell apart.

Our guests are senior, skilled marketers drawn from both agency and client side. Chief Marketing Officers, founders, digital leads and brand experts, all share their personal Marketing Hell. They hoped one day to laugh about it. Now is the time.
