Many people feel like happiness is a state that comes to you when life is good. That some people are just happy, and some are not. If you're a depressed person, that's because you're unlucky and have a bad life, and you should just accept it. Maybe you'll get lucky one day and happiness will come to you. Well, if you think like that, you're wrong. Happiness isn't something your given, it's something you earn. It's a state of mind that you have to choose to be happy and fight for it.

"Fighting" and "happiness" generally don't go in the same sentence, but in this case, it's something that you need to make a conscious decision about and push as hard as you can to keep that state of mind. This podcast goes over some tactics we use to maintain a state of happiness. How you can take steps today, even if you're in a crappy mood, to push towards happiness.
