There are so many people taking shortcuts and misleading consumers in order to speed up the selling process. These tactics will often work short-term, but essentially you customer will lose trust in you or your product. When this happens you have to market a lot more to continuously get new business in order to survive. You also have to overcome all of the objections posted from disgruntled customers. It's much harder to get new customers then it is to keep old ones, especially if you have to fight against an onslaught of bad reviews posted everywhere online. 

Today's world is full of mistrust...so be the guiding light. Be the company your customer creates a relationship of trust with and you will create loyalty. Loyal customers outlast any recession.
