There’s a trend I’m seeing a lot on social media lately: the comparison between low-ticket and high-ticket outfits. This trend fascinates me and got me thinking about my own thought process, and buying decisions when it comes to fashion and splurging on designer brands.

I recently purchased my first-ever designer outfit, and you better believe me, it was a very LONG and very intentional journey of self-discovery and self-connection before I committed to the purchase.

Sure, there is a larger investment when buying designer brands, but it’s about way more than that. Many people buy things just for the sake of it, but I’m not one of them. I wanted my first designer purchase to feel light and enjoyable and not influenced by others’ opinions.

So, that's what we're unpacking in today’s episode. We’re delving into the perceived value of designer items vs. their affordability and sustainability, the personal attachment to brands, and how they tie into our self-identity.
