'The Character of God: Dealing With Anger'

Exodus 34:6-7
The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, “Yahweh! The Lord! The God of compassion and mercy!
I am slow to anger
and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations.”

1) Slow to Anger
ארך אפים Erek ’appayim' = Longsuffering, slow to anger, long of nose

Burning nose vs long nose:

2) When does God get angry

Exodus 4:13-14
But Moses again pleaded, “Lord, please! Send anyone else.” Then the Lord became angry with Moses. “All right,” he said. “What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he speaks well. And look! He is on his way to meet you now. He will be delighted to see you.

What is Gods Judgment:
Romans 1:25-26
So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired...So they worshiped and served the things God created instead of the Creator himself, who is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires...

3) Dealing with anger

Psalm 3:8
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

Colossians 3:7-9
You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.

Ephesians 4:25-27
And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.
