Welcome to Making It! This weekly show explores the lives and stories of entrepreneurs as they share their unique perspectives on their success and the path to making it.

Lou Bortone is the founder of Lou Bortone Creative, a company that helps entrepreneurs use video marketing to increase their impact, influence and income. Lou grew up in the world of traditional media and floundered through the shifting tides as everything changed. He learned a lot during that time and turned those lessons into a very profitable business.

He learned that creativity and results trump lucky breaks or fancy equipment. He learned that when someone has an important message to share and a mission to make an impact, they can do it more easily than they may think. In this episode, Lou shares how he learned to stand out as an introvert and the importance of mentors on everyone’s journey of making it!

“That made me realize…the power was really online.”

“Your mission has to matter more than your fear or your tendency to be quiet. You have to realize that your mission matters - your message matters.”
