With a new government and Black History Month upon us, it feels like the narrative is finally moving forward from the painful push and pull we collectively endured last year. A new door has opened and the light is radiating through.

No one understands this energy more than this week’s guest, actress, and my personal beloved family member Ashleigh Morghan, who was at the front-line of the BLM uprising last year here in Los Angeles.

Outside of activism, Ashleigh has been ambitiously rising up the ranks, with recent roles in Head Count, Snowfall, The Land, and more exciting projects in the pipeline. It’s a monumental accomplishment for a girl who left Ohio for LA with nothing but ‘ a penny and a dream.’ I’m so proud of her!

We reflect on the impact of last year’s race reckoning, the importance of communal bonds to stimulate societal and personal shifts, and why having audacity is the secret sauce to manifesting success in your life.
