The Chicago White Sox (80-80) beat the Minnesota Twins on Monday night by a score of 3-2. It was an exciting win to get the Sox back to .500 however the big development happened several hours before the game. Tony La Russa put all rumors to rest and officially announced that he will not be returning to manage the Chicago White Sox in 2023. La Russa outlined several health issues in a press release and spoke at length regarding personal matters but also the disappointment of not finishing what he started. General manger, Rick Hahn, also spoke at the press conference on Monday and he highlighted the qualifications they are looking for in the next Sox manager. Hahn spoke about the future of Jose Abreu and also gave his assessment of the 2022 season.
