The Chicago White Sox were riding a small, but meaningful, three game winning streak into Wednesday's night game with the Los Angeles Dodgers. White Sox manager, Tony La Russa, went away from what was recently working and made some lineup changes. Things did not go as planned. La Russa put Leury Garcia in the leadoff spot and moved Danny Mendick down to the 9th spot. Andrew Vaughn was given the day off but Jake Burger, thankfully, stayed in the lineup as the designated hitter. The experiment of batting Garcia f1st and Mendick 9th did not go well. Garcia was 0-for-4 with 3 strikeouts. It felt like Leury Garcia was just not set up for success. White Sox offense could not give Johnny Cueto enough support. Aside from a Jake Burger homerun, the White Sox were pretty lifeless. The White Sox fell to the Dodgers, 4-1, but try for the series win on Thursday with Dylan Cease on the mound.
