After scoring 9 runs and hitting three home runs on Wednesday afternoon, the Chicago White Sox managed just one run on four hits against the Detroit Tigers on Thursday night and lost, 2-1. White Sox starter, Dylan Cease, was outstanding. He pitched 6 innings and struck out 8 but gave up a solo home run to Javy Baez. Jimmy Lambert cam in for relief for the Sox and was able to keep the game close, then Tanner Banks allowed Detroit to score another run in the 9th inning. The White Sox were no-hit through 5 innings and Josh Harrison got the first hit in the 6th. The White Sox made a minor charge in the bottom of the 9th but could not capitalize with runners on second and third with only one out.
