The Chicago White Sox turned in an embarrassing and pathetic effort as they lost to the Cleveland Guardians, 8-2

The Chicago White Sox (76-73) lost to the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday by a score of 8-2. This was supposed to be a must sweep series for the White Sox but they have now lost the first two games. After an emotional loss on Tuesday, the White Sox turned in an embarrassing and apathetic performance. Elvis Andrus and Andrew Vaughn each struck out three times. White Sox offense only managed two runs. Yoan Moncada committed and error and looked like he did not want to be playing in a baseball game. Lance Lynn did not have his best stuff and could not find ways to be effective. The Sox were all but eliminated from postseason play when they lost to the Guardians in extra innings on Tuesday and on Wednesday, the White Sox looked like they flat out quit.
