The Chicago White Sox lost to the Kansas City Royals Tuesday night by a score of 9-7. The White Sox lost their fifth game in a row and are now (7-10) against the Royals this season. With that loss, the Sox fell to three games under .500 and six games back in the AL Central. White Sox starter, Lucas Giolito, could not get out of the fifth inning as he gave up 3 home runs in his outing. The Sox used six pitchers and all but two of them gave up earned runs. It was not a good night for White Sox pitching. Eloy Jimenez and Gavin Sheets provided a bulk of the offense. Jimenez was 3-for-4 on the night and had a solo home run. Gavin Sheets had two home runs and five RBIs. The two home runs hit by Gavin Sheets marked the first time this season that a Sox player has hit two home runs in a game at home.
