The Chicago White Sox finalized their 2023 coaching staff with plenty of new faces and a few familiar ones. Ethan Katz, Curt Hasler and Daryl Boston will be returning in 2023 but there are several new additions. Jose Castro will be the new hitting coach. Chris Johnson will be the new assistant hitting coach. Eddie Rodriguez will be the new third base coach. Mike Tosar will take on the role of major league field coordinator. Geoff Head will be the new senior director of sports performance. Daryl Boston is the longest tenured coach by far as he will embark on his 11th season as the first base coach. It was tough to see Jose Abreu in a Houston Astros jersey this past week. The Sox organization had some parting words and Abreu explained his decision in a press conference. The initial 2023 promotional schedule has been released. Bobbleheads, Hawaiian shirt, hockey jersey and more to look forward to this coming season.
