The Chicago White Sox (72-69) lost to the Oakland Athletics on Sunday by a score of 10-3. Despite the lopsided loss, the White Sox took 3-of-4 games from the Athletics in Oakland. The White Sox outscored the Athletics, 32-17 in the four game series. Eloy Jimenez, AJ Pollock and Elvis Andrus all had great offensive weekends. White Sox got some solid pitching from Lance Lynn in game 3 of the series but Johnny Cueto proved to be mortal in the series finale. Tony La Russa has been on medical leave for the last thirteen games, however he made a return to the team on Sunday. La Russa was cleared to travel to Oakland to attend a pregame ceremony but has not been cleared to return to managerial duties. The Chicago White Sox have an off day on Monday.
