The Chicago White Sox lost to the Cleveland Guardians on Monday night by a score of 8-4. It was a very bad start to a very important week for the White Sox. Lance Lynn didn't necessarily get hit hard but he got hit. He gave up 5 runs in the first inning and only went 4 innings in total. The White Sox needed Matt Foster, Joe Kelly, and Tanner Banks out of the bullpen. There has been lifelessness oozing from the White Sox for a majority of the season. Are their clubhouse issues? Is there a lack of team leaders? Are there cliques? The optics are not good and Monday's offensive performance did not help the narrative. Yoan Moncada hit a timely 3 run home run to close the gap early on but that was about it in terms of excitement. The White Sox and Guardians have a doubleheader on Tuesday then the series finale on Wednesday.
