The Chicago White Sox (70-68) beat the Oakland Athletics on Thursday night by a score of 14-2. Fourteen runs is the most that the White Sox have ever scored at the Oakland Coliseum. Third baseman, Yoan Moncada, had five hits, two home runs and five RBIs. Second baseman, Romy Gonzalez, had four hits and a home run. Designated hitter, Eloy Jimenez, hit his second home run in as many days. All nine White Sox starters had hits in the game. Overall, the Sox had twenty-one hits, ten extra base hits and five home runs. Dylan Cease did not have his best stuff for the Sox but threw six innings of shutout baseball. During the game, Cease recorded his 200th strikeout of the season.
