The Chicago White Sox split the two games that they did play in Cleveland against the Guardians. The series finale that was to feature White Sox pitcher, Dylan Cease, was eventually postponed after a lengthy rain delay. The White Sox are in Kansas City to play the Royals for a one game makeup then the Sox head to Baltimore. The White Sox had a wild weekend. They got some solid pitching from Lance Lynn on Friday and some magnificent pitching from Johnny Cueto on Saturday. White Sox offense scored early on Friday but never struck again. White Sox only score two runs on Saturday but Cueto's pitching was dominant. Yasmani Grandal hurt his knee when he was sent home by third base coach Joe McEwing. It was an odd play especially since the White Sox had nobody out at the time and Grandal, one of the slowest runners on the team, was asked to score from second base. The White Sox send Michael Kopech to the mound to face the Kansas City Royals.
