When you're hot, you're hot. And then there is USC recruiting that's on fire! If you've been watching and listening to Locked On USC every day, then you were anticipating a commitment on Tuesday. USC got that commitment, plus one more.
Lincoln Riley and his staff of recruiting juggernauts landed two commitments on Tuesday.
With the addition of top safety prospect Maquis Gallegos and offensive lineman Makai Saina from the state of Texas, the Trojans' 2024 recruiting class moved up to No. 5 nationally. As I predicted before the month's end, USC with a few more names ready to make an announcement has the chance o move up higher.
USC's 2024 class is rated No. 5 overall behind Georgia, Ohio St. Florida, and Alabama. However, when it comes to the classes with the highest rating per commit, Riley's eye as a talent evaluator has USC's class No. 4, while Alabama jumps to No. 1.
