I've followed and covered USC football recruiting for over half my life, but I do not remember a time like this. USC has finished with the top overall classes in the past, however, this is different compared to those years. In the past USC would start slow and finish strong at the end. The Trojans have the 4th ranked class and there is a chance they could climb even higher during the recruiting dead period.
The 2024 recruiting class is not only highly ranked, but it's also balanced. The offense-to-defense ratio, as well as the in-state vs out-of-state, has a good mix. During the show's 2nd segment, I break down the 15 commitments to date.
Once USC leaves the Pac-12 Conference, should the Pac-12 and UCLA's Bill Walton still be allowed to call itself, "The Conference of Champions?" Once the Trojans and Bruins leave with their combined 230+ national championships, the conference is left with Stanford's collection. But that's pretty much all that's left.
