Free Agency Day 2 Recap | Carolina Panthers continue reshaping offensive line + defensive rebuild begins

The Carolina Panthers continued their quest to rebuild the offensive line late Monday night by agreeing to a four-year, $53 million deal with former Seattle Seahawks LG Damien Lewis. The Panthers now have $89 million guaranteed to each of its offensive guard signings. Julian Council discusses what message this sends to Bryce Young. 

Monday was a difficult day for the Panthers defense as Carolina traded Pro Bowl pass rusher Brian Burns to the Giants, watched Frankie Luvu sign with the Commanders, and parted ways with Vonn Bell. The defensive rebuild began in earnest on Tuesday as the Panthers came to terms with A'Shawn Robinson and Josey Jewell. Julian discusses the importance of each signing. 

Among the top needs for the Panthers is acquiring a top tier WR. So far, free agency hasn't yielded a ton of options as reports suggest that Calvin Ridley is between staying in Jacksonville or heading to New England. One option for the Panthers is trading for Bengals WR Tee Higgins, who asked for a trade on Monday morning. Julian discusses whether the Panthers should trade assets for Higgins or wait until the draft to select a WR.
