LSU Tigers head coach Brian Kelly told the media earlier this week that the only player that would not be available for the ReliaQuest Bowl vs. the Wisconsin Badgers that the Tigers had available against the Texas A&M Aggies is quarterback Jayden Daniels who decided to opt out of the bowl game to focus on the NFL Draft. However, that is not the truth. True freshman five-star offensive tackle Zalance Heard did not make the trip with the team to Tampa and will not be available to play. But why didn't he make the trip?

“I think he's looking at his role at LSU and evaluating it,” Brian Kelly said. “There's been some conversations and we are taking some time. We'll re-engage and have some more conversations after the [bowl] game.”
